Into the Wild
Into the Wild represents the true beginning of Stefan's Havre De Grace project. The songs were selected, organized, and produced with the intention of being listened to as a whole body of work. The album explores what music means to the artist and the listener — adventure, creativity, self-identity, and a medium for working through big emotions.

Oh, I'm headed out on an adventure To see if I can't lose my way And stumble upon all the splendorous things The gods hid about when they made Oh, the Earth out of water and iron Ebony, ivory, and bone Stone-cold these beauties are sleeping You know they hate sleeping alone So I'm running into the wild Oh, I'm running Oh, I'm tired of all the conjecture Dreaming and scheming and goals All that it creates is pressure And all that it makes us is old Oh, I want to take stories with meaning From the tales that my life's taught to me Dress them in something revealing And put them in songs that I sing So I'm running into the wild Oh, I'm running Oh, I'm headed out on an adventure Where I'll end up, I don't know I'm off in search of those treasures That aren't made of silver or gold I mean glaciers and gardens and grottos The sound of the wind through the sage The hush of a harbor so hollow The roar of a crowd center stage So I'm running into the wild Oh, I'm runningmore about Into the Wild →
I'm a conman, don't be fooled by the way I shake These rhythms' been around since 1968 when they Bottled lightning in several steady notes And pulled the clouds into the sea to clear the sky of smoke, you know Oh, I'm a conman, don't be fooled by the way I look I've made a killing off of moving fast and cooking books Until the Earth shook in 2025 I started searching and I finally realized No matter where I go, I never seem to change No matter what I do, I always sound the same I'm a conman and I'm here to steal your sound I stick to the shadows when I follow you around When you see me, I pretend not to stare And I pray to God that you will remain unaware that I No matter where I go, I never seem to change No matter what I do, I always sound the same Oh, I'm a conman, don't be fooled by the way I move Watch me split the ground and pierce the sky and find a groove Don't protect me from the damage in my wake I could handle all the eyes you know for goodness sake that I No matter where I go, I never seem to stay No matter what I do, I always sound the same No matter where I go, I never seem to change No matter what I do, I always sound the samemore about Conman →
Silver screen says Norma Jeane, oh Something bigger's meant for me With a silhouette like Juliet, oh Someone else could cut your checks You could put an end to this, come on You could put an end to this, come on, oh Die your hair and change your clothes Bat your eyelids really slow Say goodbye to all you know and Try to land DiMaggio You could put an end to this, come on You could put an end to this, come on, oh Goodbye, Norma Jean. You meant the world to me I've been in love with you since we were seventeen, but I Know you want the world, it's more, more, more I wanted you, you wanted Double down, don't hedge your bets Diamonds are your only friend Different lines paint different strokes At least these pills should help you cope You could put an end to this, come on You could put an end to this, come on, oh Goodbye, Norma Jean. That there's a woman, of that you can be sure Eyes that hit a sunrise like waves that hit a shore, oh Her eyes are open ocean and blue butterfly wings She's got some way about her when she gets on stage and sings, oh Ivory Looks like California, sounds like Tennessee I want to get to know her, she remains my mystery Oh, Ivory That there's a woman with flowers in her hair When she moves, the universe can't help but stop and stare, oh Right up there beside her is where I want to be When I asked her for her name, she looked straight back at me, oh Ivory If I wanted paradise, I'd play a melody Too avoid the heartache, I'll keep this one just for me Oh, Ivory I could be the one she loves, the Adam to her Eve But when she asked me for my name, I forgot how to breathe, oh Ivory Looks like California, sounds like Tennessee Walks just like Alaska with the snowfall in the trees If I wanted paradise, I'd play a melody But too avoid the heartache, I'll keep this one just for me Oh, Ivory Ivorymore about Ivory →
Oh, I think that I could live in Andalusia Walk until my boots are breaking through Oh, I'd brush up on my Spanish with all the pretty girls To distract myself from how much I miss you Oh, I think that I could live outside of Stockholm I'd sit and watch the sailors in the cold But like a lover stranded underneath a churchyard I'd never get to watch you growing old If I were king for just a day and I always got my way Know no other dream would ever do It doesn't matter where I go, in the sun or in the snow The only one I want, my love, is you Oh, I think that I could live in San Diego Bangkok, Budapest, or Baton Rouge Yes, I'd travel round the world for the rest of my days If it meant that I could forget about you If I were king for just a day and I always got my way Know no other dream would ever do It doesn't matter where I go, in the sun or in the snow The only one I want, my love, is you Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh I think I'll take a chance on Andalusia Walk until my boots are faded blue But all the pretty ladies in the whole wide world Could not help me to forget about you If I were king for just a day and I always got my way Know no other dream would ever do It doesn't matter where I go, in the sun or in the snow The only one I want, my love, is you, oh The only one I want, my love, is youmore about Andalusia →
They say love when lost upon the rocks is best left burning out the coals That easy dreams like submarines can undermine mankind's familiar goal I don't wanna follow those lights I see out on the shore I don't wanna listen to anybody ever anymore They said move to Memphis, Nashville, Austin, L.A, or Detroit That the only way to break it is to bargain, bend, abandon, or exploit I don't wanna follow those lights I see out on the shore I don't wanna listen to anybody ever anymore No, no, no, no No, I won't go, I'm not going to New York I don't wanna follow those lights I see out on the shore I don't wanna listen to anybody ever anymore No, no, no, no No, no, no, no No, no, no, no No, I won't go, I'm not going to New Yorkmore about New York →
No, I don't need a friend. No, I don't need a lover Some nights the darkness is sweeter than others Just me and my thoughts, no counting sheep When the absence of light doesn't mean that I sleep I lie in my bed and I think of the sky And I wonder what happens right after we die Should I be afraid, will my troubles end Does the whole process repeat again and again Then the sun starts to wake, the trees start to yawn And the dark of the night meets a glimpse of the dawn The whole world's asleep, it's too dark to see So I can lie here and feel like you're still next to me Do I call you first or wait for you to call Fever kicks in and my skin starts to crawl Unnatural tension in my brain and my eyes And the headache evolves when I straighten my spine My blood runs too thick and my mind runs too deep And the room breaks the silence when the house starts to creak The windows are open to let in the wind Oh, I could be the sky if I could only give in Then the sun starts to wake, the trees start to yawn And the dark of the night meets a glimpse of the dawn The whole world's asleep, it's too dark to see So I can lie here and feel like you're still next to me, so Meet me at the horizon Oh won't you Meet me at the horizon No, I don't need a friend. No, I don't need a lover Some nights the darkness cuts deeper than others Just me and my thoughts in that bed all alone When the dawning of day brings a sliver of hope And the sun starts to wake and the trees start to yawn The dark of the night finds relief in the dawn The whole world's asleep, that is except me And I lie here and miss the way things used to be, so Meet me at the horizon Oh won't you Meet me at the horizon, ohmore about Meet Me at the Horizon →
I drove by my hometown today I miss the green but I don't miss the gray It's always with me, what a shame It's always with me, much to my shame I don't have that much left to say I'll leave all my things and just drift away I can't seem to shake all this rain And the rocks in the water have been calling my name When the road slims down and the trees hide the sound Of hearts leaving home, there you're free And the only place that's calling your name Is the sand by the rocks in the sea The sand by the rocks in the sea I talked to my sister today About nothing at all and the things that we make I stranded those rocks by the bay For the ones that I love, oh I choose to stay When the road slims down and the trees hide the sound Of hearts leaving home, there you're free And the only place that's calling your name Is the sand by the rocks in the sea The sand by the rocks in the sea Oh, the sand by the rocks in the seamore about Rocks in the Sea →
Oh, away with the land and away with the light Tomorrow I will be a' sailing Oh, I've traveled for days just to follow the night To find if lost love is worth saving The ship back to Stockholm, it waits on no man And the wind doesn't wait on the seasons Oh, to get back to you I'd do all that I can Bribing or begging or bleeding, oh So away with your guns and away with the fight Or tomorrow we will be a' fading Oh, I'm done trying to prove that I want to do right Everyone's beyond persuading, oh It's deep water rescue on razor thin ice We're walking a tightrope to Eden So away with your dogs and away with their bite The rhetoric's not worth repeating, no And I don't need to kiss you, no I just need to ask If we make it back could we hash out the past I can't seem to reach you, not by letter or phone So I'm taking the ship back to Stockholmmore about Ship to Stockholm →
Amplifiers just make a noise When I write songs, it's not by choice The city burns and I'm a ghost The city burns and I'm a ghost Give me shelter, give me sleep I wanna help but I can't breathe Can't pick you up, can't put you down I'd hold you close, I'm not allowed I'd play for you if I had hands If I had legs, we could learn to dance I tell you I love you, that I love you the most But you're on fire and I'm a ghost You're on fire. I'm a ghost And I'd play for you if I had hands If I had legs, we could learn to dance I tell you I love you, that I love you the most But you're on fire and I'm a ghost You're on fire.
